Melody is married to Retired Lt. Colonel Bruce Stalk.  He now works as a College Counselor for the U. S. Army at Fort Lewis, WA.  Melody has 3 daughters, 1 step daughter and 3 grandson’s, Trenton, Ryder and David.

Melody enjoys tending their 20 acre tree farm and traveling. Melody is retired from Weyerhaeuser Company (forest products) as an Executive Assistant  and now works as an Executive Assistant to the CEO, President and Vice President of Sales for Gensco, a wholesale distributor of HVAC, the largest distributor in the Northwest.

After living 13 years (longest place they ever lived) in a house in Puyallup, they recently sold it to a nice couple and officially moved to our 20 acres in the woods with a view of Mt. Rainier on July 24, 2009. They are currently living in a fifth wheel on the property and are hoping to start the new house sometime in August. Bruce's last military move had the packers take 17,200 pounds of furniture and junk to sit in storage and they took the rest. They are trying to sort out all the boxes that we took and trying to discover what all these noises are in the forest.  Candy, their dog, has had an adventure with all the smells, eyes peaking out and rustling in the underbrush. Their new adventure has started and all are  excited but exhausted.
