Toni Lichaczewski (Brophy)

Toni was married to fellow classmate Rick Kuper. They and had one son, Jason born in 1970. They later divorced and she married Don Brophy. They had Angelica in June of 1977 and Mathew in June 1978. She then moved to MO and was working and studying to be an EMT. She worked for the county ambulance crew thru the Sac-Osage hospital. She continued to go to college to get her pre-med undergrad done in Springfield, MO at that time the school was called SWSU. She graduated from SMSU  in May of 1985 and moved to Columbia to go to med school. She graduated med school in June of 1989 and began her ER residency in Tucson, AZ. She was a ER physician there for several years until 1997, then moved to Mesa, AZ and worked as attending emergency room physician.

Toni became ill during 2000-2001 with microcytic anemia from an unknown reason. She was later diagnosed with an auto immune disease and had treatment. Toni passed away September 30, 2005. She was found resting in peace via her husband James. When she died her wishes were to be cremated and have her ashes spread around Sedona AZ. She loved going up there, especially around Halloween time. She was an excellent MD and worked at it 24 hrs a day. Her memorial service was attended via many of the Mesa Fire district staff, to include Firetrucks, etc. Bagpipes were played in her honor outside the funeral home while people were gathering. Her memorial service included a slide show of her life. Many pictures of her as a child, she was half Indian.

She still has 3 children. Her husband at the time of her death was James Roeder whom she was long time friend and companion. Toni had many medical journal articles which could be archived in the medical journals back in the mid 1990's. Her granddaughter Trinity was the light of her life. Toni had many favorite things, her family, her work, traveling, jujubes, Sedona, Christmas, she had over 250 Christmas Mouse ornaments.
