Andrew M. Korpan, 69, a lifelong resident of Fox Lake, passed away Sunday, June 20, 2021, in McHenry. He was born June 2, 1952, in Waukegan.
Andy grew up in his family’s business, Korpan’s Landing. He was instrumental in building the business into what it became: a successful resort, bar, and marina on Fox Lake. He was involved in all roles including, resort manager, bartender, and boat mechanic.
Andy was also very involved in Fox Lake activities from the Korpan’s Christmas Parade, to the Korpan’s Lobster Bakes, Luaus, and Light House Raffles. He was also instrumental in the Korpan’s Landing Yacht Club and Snow Commanders, which promoted boating and snowmobiling safety. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and snowmobiling.
