Anne Marie Conroyd
Anne graduated from St Bede Catholic grade school. She attended Grant
Community High School where she was an active 4 yr. member of the G-ETTE’S
Pep Club, the Color Guard in her junior and senior yrs, and graduated
with the class of 1970.
In 1972 she began
her career at Baxter Healthcare as a molding machine operator. She
progressed in the technical ranks where she held several higher-level
positions. Annie closed their Plastics facility in 1991 as Operations
Manager and then moved to their Round Lake Facility as their Production
Manager, responsible for the Non-Cephalosporin and Injection Molding
Operations from 1991 to 2004. At that time she was diagnosed with Stage
3 breast cancer, and hence ended her 33 yr. career with Baxter.
She attended Elgin Community College where she majored in Plastics
Technology. After which she attended Kennedy-Western University where
she majored in Management of Technologies. She attended College of Lake
Co. where she took numerous management and accounting courses, all
during her tenure at Baxter Healthcare. To her credit, she was a member
of the Who’s Who in America for Plastics and Plant Production
Supervision: Aseptic Filling Injection Molding, Blow Molding, Quality
Assurance, Budget, Staffing and Scheduling.
Anne Marie was as member of the Society of Plastics Engineers and the
National Assoc. for Female Executives and the American Management Assoc.
She was the Chairman of the United Way Campaign for Baxter for 5 yrs.
In addition, she was an active supporter for the American Cancer Society
and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Fund Since winning her battle with
breast cancer.
A lifetime
resident of Fox Lake, Il. Anne passed away at her home on Saturday, November 13, 2010. She
was born on December 5, 1952 in Chicago to Ralph “Hoot” and Jeanette
“Jean” Conroyd.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph “Hoot” Conroyd and
Jeanette “Jean” Conroyd and her grandmother Winifred Wheeler and by her
dear friends Peter Michael Kukla & Judith Lutzow.
Surviving are her sisters, Michele (Scott) Kisten of Lake Villa, Il.
Jeanine (Gordy) Flory of Gloucester, VA , Charmaine Malecki of Fox Lake,
Il. her niece Brianne Sorlie and 2 nephews Jerrad (Brandy) Campbell of
Roanake Va., and Walter Malecki of Fox Lake, and 2 great nieces and her
many many friends including the entire Reza family, Kris Teska, Rose
Bolig, Louis Guzzo, Jeannine Geimer, the Janke family, the Donahue
family and Militanos, Gilbert Volling, the Kukla family and Kathleen
Harrington.
During her long and fulfilling life, her hobbies included cooking,
gardening, canning vegetables, entertaining friends and family, shopping
and vacationing in her favorite spot Key West, Fla. With her two pals
Kris and Jeannine. Anne was a lifelong Green Bay Packer backer and Notre
Dame fan. |
